Trauma can impact any person; but it doesn't define the person. In therapy sessions, we process feelings and emotions related to the traumatic experience/event looking to heal and move forward with resilience and self-love. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, bilingual (Spanish and English) proudly holding that title since 2017 after graduating from NOVA Southeastern University in vibrant Miami, FL. My journey in the field has led me through 7 rewarding years in Foster Care, where I've had the privilege of making a difference. I also worked in a shelter with children and teenagers. Before my U.S. venture, back in my home country, Cuba, I earned my bachelor's degree and spent 8 fulfilling years as a Psychotherapist. For me, helping individuals become the best version of themselves isn't just a profession – it's a passion. Having spent 5 years as a Case Manager in a shelter, I understand the intricacies of challenging situations. Now, as a fervent advocate for Individual Therapy, I see it as an investment in your own well-being. Taking the step towards therapy is a decision I wholeheartedly recommend.
