Vielka Johnson
Vielka E. Johnson received her BA in Psychology in 1996 from the University of Colorado. In 1998 Vielka Johnson moved to San Antonio, TX and continued in receiving her master’s degree in counseling and in 2006 was licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Vielka Johnson have been fortunate to have worked with such a diverse population within the community. Vielka Johnson background consist of working with children and adolescents ages 3 to 18 and also has worked with young adults and adults up to the ages of 65+. Vielka Johnson have worked in variety of settings to include community agencies, school settings and residential facilities. Vielka Johnson have experience in working with therapeutic foster care children, family domestic violence, mental and physical abuse also substance abuse, the mobile crisis unit, and crisis intervention. Vielka Johnson is trained in Trauma Focus CBT. Vielka Johnson incorporate different modalities approaches to address the needs of the client. Vielka Johnson is deeply committed in assisting clients with identifying their strengths and weaknesses; learning new skills to achieve their goals and improve their lives. To add to her experience, Vielka Johnson taught for over 10 years in bible studies. Vielka Johnson utilizes this when faith base counseling services is requested.
