Hello, I'm Timothy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience. I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology from Purdue University Northwest in 1985 and my Master's degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago in 1989. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in various fields, including child welfare, juvenile justice, and as a school social worker. I've worked with individuals across all age groups, from children to seniors, and my most recent experience has been in private practice. In my practice, I use a psychodynamic approach to treatment. This means that I focus on understanding your relationships and personal history to help you navigate and resolve current difficulties, particularly those involving your relationships with others and yourself. I believe that by exploring these areas, we can uncover patterns and insights that lead to meaningful change and personal growth. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, family relationships, gender identity issues, grief and bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, spirituality, trauma, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, depression, and anger management. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood, and where we can work together to address the challenges you're facing. Do participating providers pay us?

To make our site free for consumers, Psych Hub receives fees from provider groups, networks, or individual providers to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. Some also purchase Psych Hub's educational content for practitioner training and client support. These fees enable us to operate our service, including screening and updating information on each provider.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
