Hello! I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner serving the state of Ohio. With over 10 years of Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine experience combined with 6 years of Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Treatment experience, I can help guide you on your journey toward a healthy mind and body. I specialize in the medication management of depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I lean toward the existential belief that responses such as fear, worry, and anxiety are often appropriate given the client's circumstances. Regulating one's nervous system is paramount to gaining peace of mind. While I am not a therapist, I do incorporate brief psychotherapy and work in collaboration with therapists for the overall well-being of our clients.
It has been my dream to work in an ever-growing age of healthcare, and I emphatically believe that mental healthcare especially relies on a culture of open-mindedness, respect, and acceptance. I will work hard to provide a safe space for people to unpack potential worries and burdens through empathy, compassion, and understanding. You are not alone.
My goal is to be an advocate for people who struggle to be heard and respected, especially in disadvantaged communities, where barriers such as socioeconomic disparities or biases may hinder effective healthcare treatment.
