Hello! I’m Dr. Thuydy (pronounced “Tweety”), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Sex Therapist, and Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology. I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating intimacy challenges, compulsive sexual behaviors, trauma, and relational concerns. My doctoral research focused on trauma-informed treatment for compulsive sexual behaviors, which I bring into my clinical work with compassion, respect, and a nonjudgmental lens.
I understand how difficult it can feel to manage disconnection, conflict, or shame, especially when intimacy, sexuality, or past trauma are involved. My approach is trauma-informed, sex-positive, shame-resilient, and inclusive, honoring the full spectrum of identities, orientations, and relationship structures. Whether you are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, exploring kink or BDSM, or navigating nontraditional relationship dynamics such as ethical non-monogamy or polyamory, you will find a safe and affirming space with me.
Together, we’ll explore your unique experiences, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and build tools for resilience, communication, and self-compassion. I draw on evidence-based practices including CBT, Narrative Therapy, Somatic interventions, and shame-resilience theory to create a personalized path toward healing and growth.
As a multicultural therapist, I also recognize the ways culture, family expectations, and identity shape your story. My goal is to help you strengthen intimacy, rebuild trust, establish healthy boundaries, and create relationships that align with your values. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and designed to empower you to live authentically, heal deeply, and grow toward lasting change.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
