My Journey in Healthcare:
I began my healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), driven by a deep desire to help others. Growing up in a divided home, I developed a strong passion for supporting the vulnerable and underserved populations. This passion fueled my path forward, leading me to nursing where I spent many years serving in both community and hospital settings.
Over time, my experiences led me to addiction medicine, where I worked closely with individuals facing the challenges of substance use. This specialized experience ignited a deeper interest in mental health, prompting me to further my education and become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Driven by a commitment to holistic care, I then pursued additional training and earned my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of caring for a wide range of individuals across diverse settings, from hospitals to outpatient clinics. This broad spectrum of experience has equipped me with a comprehensive skill set and a deep understanding of the complexities of mental and physical health. Today, I’m proud to bring these insights into my work, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to those who need it most.
I work best with individuals who are truly ready to commit to their mental health and well-being. If you are someone who is open to feedback, willing to engage in the process of change, and equally committed to taking an active role in your own healing, we’ll make a great team. We’ll take time to discuss various treatment options, so you feel informed and empowered in your choices. Whether we explore medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches, our goal is to develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your unique needs and goals.
Mental health is a partnership—both provider and client need to be dedicated to the work. My ideal client is someone who is motivated, open to new perspectives, and willing to put in the effort to improve their emotional and psychological health. Whether you are facing a specific challenge, dealing with a long-term issue, or exploring new ways to enhance your mental wellness, we’ll work together to create a plan that aligns with your goals.
