Hello, my name is Shelly Johnson. I'm very excited to meet you and start working on your therapy goals together. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey where we work together to navigate the challenges you're facing and find a path to a more fulfilling life.


My ideal clients are adult males or females who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, work problems, grief, relationship problems, disability, and illness. I specialize in a range of areas including anger management, ADHD, learning disorders, family relationships, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, medical issues, multicultural and diversity issues, stress, and suicidal ideation or self-harming behaviors.


In my therapy sessions, I use a mix of person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. This eclectic approach allows me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs and goals, ensuring that you receive the most effective and personalized care possible.


A little more about myself: I have a passion for helping people! I’ve been working in the field of mental health since 2008 and hold a Master of Arts degree. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly.
