My name is Shani Muhammad and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey. I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from Monmouth University. I graduated in 2014 from Stockton University with a Master's in Social Work. I am the founder/therapist at Journey of Rose & Mary, LLC. I help young adults and women overcome trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief.
You may notice that in some of my photos I’m wearing a hijab, and in others I’m not. That’s intentional. Both reflect real parts of who I am and how I move through the world. I share this so there’s no confusion, only openness, and an invitation to bring your full self into this space too. As a Muslim woman, my faith is an important part of who I am, it shapes the way I hold space for people, listen deeply, and honor every part of your story.
Whether you're a woman or man balancing identity, burnout, or societal pressure or a first responder carrying the weight of others while pushing through your own. You are seen here. I also work with clients from immigrant communities, multicultural or interfaith families, and anyone living at the intersections of race, faith, gender, and responsibility. This space is faith-informed, culturally grounded, and made for all of who you are.
