Shana Cronican
Hello! My name is Shana Cronican and I completed a Masters in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, a Masters in Social Work with an independent license credential (LISW). With over twenty years of experience, advocacy, education and direct service; my adult life is dedicated to improving the lives of survivors and individuals whom seek guidance and help in order to strengthen their lives, relationships and purpose. I am a tireless advocate for women and girls and other individuals who have experienced violence and/or trauma with expertise in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety and Depressive Disorders, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Childhood Sexual Abuse, LGBTQ and emotional health concerns related to trauma and adversity. I use a number of evidence based models including elements of trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing, mindfulness, physical and emotional holistic wellness. In addition, I recognize the effects of secondary trauma on individuals with partners experiencing trauma, the effects of trauma on community and/or family members and loved ones, social workers, first responders, teachers and any person working directly with traumatic experiences.
