Dr. Sarah Barwick offers therapeutic services and psychological testing/diagnosis. She obtained her BA in psychology from the University of South Florida in 2006. During her graduate studies, she worked as a therapist on the Pride unit of Fort Lauderdale Hospital. She tailored her studies with dual emphases in forensics and neuropsychology. She obtained a Psy.D. in 2012 after completing an elective practicum at the Miami VA. Though she has never claimed a specialty, she has always carried a caseload with a high percentage of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder diagnoses. She is also highly experienced in the empirically validated treatments for depression, anxiety, and panic disorders. Dr. Barwick strongly believes in the individuality of each and every client. She views the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for progress. That being said, she is not afraid to challenge her clients. Her approach incorporates skills from her work through the VA, justice system, and government evaluations.
