Natalie Tunnell
I have a PhD in clinical psychology and am a licensed psychologist in Missouri and Kansas. I specialize in evidence-based therapies for adults with anxiety and depression. This includes Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder, among others. I also commonly see folks experiencing life transitions, adjustment issues, chronic illness, pregnancy/postpartum, and gender identity concerns. My practice is firmly rooted in empathetic, trauma-informed care, and I approach client concerns from a whole-person, goal-oriented perspective. I collaborate with my clients to establish treatment plans and frequently check in for feedback regarding progress and emotional processing. I believe there is no "one size fits all" therapy and I commonly pull from various modes on therapy, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, to tailor therapy to the needs and lifestyles of the client. Having been on both sides of the therapy "room", I know how important fit can be so let me share a little about myself! I was born and raised in Texas but have since moved around the US. I am queer and am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I like watching college sports, eating good food, thrift shopping and hanging out with my two cats.
