Hi, I'm Mindy. For over twenty years, I survived chronic pain and spent much of that time desperately searching for ways to make it stop. When I finally found relief, I was inspired to help others do the same. My passion lies in helping you understand and alleviate your pain starting with Empowered Relief, a single-session, evidence-based pain management intervention created by Beth Darnall, PhD at Stanford University.
My approach to therapy is grounded in providing scientifically proven strategies to help you reduce your symptoms, and provide you support and a listening ear. I believe in working closely with you to find the resources and strategies that suit your personality and specific experiences. Together, we can explore educational information to help you fully understand what you're going through and discuss additional complementary therapies that might be beneficial.
I utilize a variety of strategies in my practice, including the Empowered Relief program, pain neuroscience education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, behavior modification, and Motivational Interviewing. These methods are tailored to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, and a Certified Empowered Relief provider, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to our sessions. I am committed to supporting you on your journey to better health and well-being.
