Hello! My name is MaryAnn Paligo, LCSW. I have lived in Colorado for 15 years and absolutely love it here! Originally, I grew up on a dairy farm in south-central Utah, which instilled in me a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for community. I pursued my passion for helping others by studying Psychology at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, and later earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. My husband and I are blessed with five children, and my love for working with kids has been a constant in my life. I find great joy in helping children navigate big emotions and challenging situations.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults, adults, families, individuals, and groups. My areas of expertise include addressing anxieties, depression, behavioral issues, anger management, parenting challenges, panic, identity struggles, traumatic events, addiction (with a focus on online addiction such as sexual, gaming, or other), disordered eating, self-harm/suicidal ideation, school refusal, resilience training, assertiveness training, emotion regulation, and social skill training. While I cover many aspects of mental health, I do not specialize in autism treatment.
I am dedicated to supporting parents and families by providing them with practical tools and skills to create a structured and supportive environment. My goal is to improve family communication and help families navigate issues such as parental divorce and separation.
For those who seek it, I am happy to offer Christian-based therapy. Additionally, I am open to coordinating care with primary care doctors to ensure a comprehensive approach, especially if medication is needed or already in use.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your family, helping you find the strength and resilience to overcome life's challenges. Let's embark on this journey together!
