I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have 25 years of experience working in the help field, which includes but is not limited to assisting clients before, during, and after the COVID pandemic. I simply love what I do. I truly believe it's my calling and my honor to be there for you.
Although I have worked with many different genders, cultures, age groups, and populations of people, I specialize in working with adults and young adults who have symptoms related to depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress (and other significant life stressors), as well as symptoms related to those who may have experienced substance abuse, incarceration, hardships in reintegration back into society, as well as their loved ones who are dealing with their loved one's mental health issues. I have worked with clients with symptoms related to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I also have experience working with clients diagnosed with developmental disorders, clients with cognitive/neurodegenerative disorders (i.e., Dementia/Alzheimer’s), and assisting their caregivers with updated information, resources, and ways to cope. I am also a professional in assisting with anger management. I have made progress in working with those who may have relationship issues, whether those issues stem from intimate relationships or family problems. Over the years, I have kept current on evidence-based methods to meet your individual needs. I conduct case management to advocate for you and collaborate with other professionals (i.e., medical, psychiatric, and medication management), and I have a bank of resources to assist with your overall holistic wellness.
