Reaching out for help can be difficult... taking the first step in a journey of healing can be daunting. In a world where seemingly no one cares, I do care deeply and want to help my clients break free from all of the chains that bind them and set them on a course to freedom. The first part of my life was full of adverse experiences, breakthroughs, and finally a place of peace. Someone who cared helped and believed in me once, and my life is now devoted to assisting my clients in reaching their highest potential, believing in themselves, and providing real-world answers and practical ways to improve their circumstances. My place is not to judge. I am here to empower, listen, and also use evidence-based interventions as well as practical solutions to life's obstacles.
I am an independently licensed psychotherapist, graduating with honors from Spring Arbor University, with both my bachelor's and master's degrees in Social Work with a concentration in clinical psychotherapy. Additionally, I am an adjunct professor at my alma mater, teaching both bachelor's and master's students in Social Work. I have been in community mental health and addiction services for the last 10 years.
I welcome individuals, couples, children, and families, of all ages, backgrounds, genders, identities, and circumstances. My expertise is in narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed/responsive therapy, and then some. I am considered an eclectic therapist who uses many modalities and treatment interventions to help clients feel supported, heard, and hopeful. In the simplest terms, I want what my client wants and will be there every step of the way to help my clients recover and thrive.
