Graduating with honors, I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Visionary Leadership degree from Colorado Christian University and my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree for Advanced Practice nursing with a specialty in psychiatry across the lifespan, from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have been practicing for more than 14 years and have multi-state licensures, including Texas, Ohio, Arizona, and Florida with others pending. As a doctorate-prepared practitioner, I have an affinity for education and continue to expand my research and knowledge, thus using evidence-based treatment to facilitate the best possible outcomes for my patients.
I perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate diagnoses, and treat mental health disorders in individuals, from pediatrics to geriatrics. These disorders include, but are not limited to, depression, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia/psychotic disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), autism spectrum disorders (ASD), anxiety disorders, eating disorders, sleep disorders, and substance use disorders.
With a safe, focused, and holistic approach to treatment via medication management, I profoundly advocate for patients throughout their treatment while demonstrating cultural awareness, sensitivity, diversity, and inclusion support. I empower my patients by educating them on their diagnoses and treatment while encouraging active participation in their care plans. Each patient is approached as a valued individual and their care is tailored as such. It is my mission to promote lifelong wellness by integrating spiritualty and Christianity into my comprehensive, therapeutic model of psychiatric care and advocacy for all patients, whom I am honored to serve.
