Life happens in a moment and is often unexpected. Because of its unpredictability, it is never too early or too late to want or need mental health support; seeking support is not shameful regardless of precipitating circumstances. Everyone deserves a nonjudgmental space to process events, emotions, and thoughts while learning new skills to better cope with stressors in the future. I can accompany you on your mental health journey as you learn and grow towards the happiest, healthiest, most successful version of yourself.
In 2014, I graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and again in 2017 from Indiana State University with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervisor endorsement (LPCC-S), I have been working with clients in community mental health, student counseling centers, and private practice for over 7 years. I have experience with a variety of diagnoses, with the most common being anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns (ADHD, ODD), and trauma. I work with men and women and provide individual, couples, and family services.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults using a variety of approaches including CBT, DBT, trauma-focused therapy, Gestalt therapy, play therapy, and other person-centered modalities to ensure sessions are specifically crafted for each client's needs. My approach is client-specific, offering unconditional positive regard and providing a safe space for clients to process difficult emotions, thoughts, and events while providing support for clients to reach their goals. Processing the past and present moment allows you to challenge negative patterns and open the door for new ways of thinking. By working as a team, we can rise above experienced difficulties and prevail.
