"Jessica Palmer is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Salem State University. With over five years of experience, Jessica has provided counseling to children, adolescents, adults, families, and geriatric clients. She believes that mental health is a vital component of overall wellness and strives to support individuals in finding their best selves at any stage of life. Jessica is passionate about working with diverse populations and approaches therapy with cultural competence and sensitivity. Jessica customizes her therapeutic approach to fit each client’s unique needs, recognizing the rapid changes and challenges of the modern world. She offers a safe space for individuals to explore their concerns and develop strategies for personal growth. She primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She also integrates psychoeducation and clinical scoring tools such as the PHQ-9 and GAD to track client progress effectively. Jessica is dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrants, people with disabilities, single mothers, BIPOC, men’s mental health, neurodivergent individuals, survivors of trauma and abuse, and those managing chronic illnesses. In her free time, Jessica enjoys going to concerts, reading, and spending time with her partner. She began her career as a Direct Service Provider, later transitioning into therapeutic outreach with children and families before becoming an outpatient therapist. She believes that the road to better mental health starts with taking small, meaningful steps toward change."
