Hello, I am an experienced bilingual and bicultural Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Illinois. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work. I have been practicing for over 27 years. I have helped children, families, teens, and adults of all ages live a meaningful and satisfying life. I help my client shift their mindset to live in the present with an understanding that the past is an opportunity to learn from it but not to dwell on. I help my client develop a self awareness of how to live the most authentic version of themselves. I use strategies such as assertive communication & boundaries setting, and self talk to help my client develop a sense of self and how they view those around them. My style is one of an active listener, compassionate, kind, and warm. I’m one that believes that the client is looking for guidance and tangibles after every session that can be applied to their everyday lives. Supportive listening alone without taking a more active role as a clinician is not enough to maintain my client’s engagement and motivated that will lead to making progress.
