I am licensed in Florida with over 12 years of therapeutic experience. I've spent most of my career in the non-profit arena so I've worked with a variety of people, with a wide range of mental health issues, in various types of settings. The majority of my time has been spent working with trauma survivors and those with depression and/or anxiety disorders. I utilize an eclectic mix of theories to help clients & my therapeutic approach reflects that. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) but sometimes another approach (DBT, MI,etc.) is more appropriate. I am also qualified to offer EMDR to my clients.

I meet my clients where they are & work to build rapport. I provide active listening in a supportive, non-judgmental, & empathic environment so clients can address their issues & concerns; while also being able to challenge them when appropriate.

I've found that I'm passionate about empowering people & helping them become their whole & authentic self. How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
