Hello, I'm Eve. I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate through relationship struggles, suicidality, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, traumatic grief, trauma, complex PTSD, childhood trauma including childhood sexual abuse, and infertility issues. I am dedicated to building a caring, compassionate, trusting, and understanding relationship with you to improve the overall quality of your life.
Throughout my practice, I have learned to use a variety of techniques and therapeutic approaches. My background is rooted in a psychodynamic approach, but I have honed my skills to include additional methods. Becoming a CCTP has influenced me to incorporate somatic self-regulation techniques, which help keep one's muscles relaxed, as we work together on addressing relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, grief, traumatic grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I firmly believe that painful “learning experiences” from our childhood or adulthood can negatively impact our present ability to enjoy life.
I understand how difficult life can get, whether we are going through challenging experiences in the present or dealing with symptoms stemming from past traumatic events. I use a variety of approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, to help people identify and work through the source of their symptoms. My goal is to help you understand and work through the symptoms you are experiencing so you can make positive changes in your life.
I graduated from Xavier University in 2003 with a Master's in Agency and Community Counseling. During graduate school, I worked as a Case Manager with intensive clients suffering from severe mental illness. In 2007, I completed the Two-Year Advanced Psychotherapy Program at the Cincinnati Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Since 2005, I have been working in private practice with adults and couples as a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC).
I would love the opportunity to work with you and support you on your journey to healing and growth.
