I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker based in Bowling Green, KY who has an obsession with Dolly Parton, Pekingese dogs, and New Orleans. I cuss sometimes, I can't cook, and I can juggle. I have also been in practice since 2017 and have worked with clients experiencing substance abuse, severe anxiety, ADHD, depression, racial trauma history, sexual trauma, and grief and loss. I believe that therapy can awaken parts of us that hold more strength than we know and that learning more about those parts of ourselves is vital to healing.
In our first session, my clients can expect to be met with sincerity and my genuine interest in their life and their hopes for therapy. My client can expect to be met with patience and guidance and understanding as we work to make a plan for how I can best help them reach their goals for therapy. I work with clients who are reeling from trauma, often based in childhood wounds. I work with clients who are seeking options for recovery from substance abuse and misuse and want to take control back over their lives. I work with clients who are feeling overwhelmed with anxiety and panic, often struggling with lack of boundaries, who fall into a "functional freeze" each opportunity. I work with clients who have difficulty with recognizing their own self-worth, turning to people pleasing and "fawning" in order to feel a sense of belonging and value. I work with clients who are experiencing grief and loss. I work with clients who are feeling uncertainty in their careers and relationships. I work with clients seeking to process feelings of gender dysphoria and sexual identity and make plans for their future self. I work with clients who have experienced racial and/or religious trauma.
I have seen the way therapy can heal and inspire change, and it is the highest honor of my life to walk alongside my clients in their journey. As a therapist, I still haven't found magic words to make it all better or take it all away. But in sessions with me, you will feel heard and seen. I will always keep your life and therapy goals in mind. I will support and challenge you with humor and sincerity. And did I mention that sometimes I cuss?
When you're ready, I'm here.
