"Elizabeth Dessify is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, anger management, and behavioral challenges. She takes an eclectic, client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs while fostering a respectful and confidential therapeutic space. Elizabeth integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). She is passionate about working with diverse populations, including single mothers, women, veterans, and survivors of trauma and abuse. With experience in outpatient, residential, home-based, and community settings, she has worked with clients of all ages, from troubled youth to adults facing complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Believing that better mental health starts with personalized care, Elizabeth empowers clients to develop coping strategies and gain insight into their emotions. She is committed to creating a supportive environment where individuals can achieve their therapeutic goals. Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her son and their dogs, including a lively German Shorthaired Pointer. She loves hiking, camping, traveling, and cheering on Pittsburgh’s sports teams."
