Hi, I'm Dustin! I am an independently licensed social worker and chemical dependency counselor (LISWS- & LICDC-CS) in the state of Ohio.
Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Life can be challenging, and everyone faces times when they could use some extra support. I am hoping to help you navigate life's ups and downs, providing you with the guidance and tools you need to achieve better mental well-being. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or any other mental health concern, we're here to support you on your journey to healing and personal growth.
I graduated from Shawnee State University in 2007 and 2010 and in 2016, I completed my Master's in Social Science Administration (Social Work) at Case Western Reserve University.
Before embarking on my career with the Veterans Administration (VA), I dedicated over a decade of service to the community mental health field at Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center. During this extensive period, I worked as a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) therapist and ascended to the position of ACT/IDDT Team Leader. My work at SPVMHC involved close collaborations with both juvenile and adult courts, where I provided invaluable assistance to judges in the implementation of groundbreaking juvenile and adult drug court programs.
In addition to community mental health, I've also served as Treatment Director of SUD outpatient and residential mental health crisis center programs at the Counseling Center, Inc., situated in Portsmouth, Ohio. I am committed to enhancing the well-being of individuals grappling with complex mental health and substance use disorders. I've work to and have successfully expanded service capacity, thereby ensuring that clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders received the highest standard of care and support.
Feel free to reach out and ask questions - I look forward to working with you!
