Dorothy Akakem is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia with several years of experience working with individuals with mental health disease. I have strong clinical skills in Patient Assessment, Diagnoses, Medication Management, and Disease Prevention. I offer individualized treatment plans according to patient's needs. I treat my patients/clients with respect, dignity, and compassion while offering a stigma-free environment for patients to receive care, heal, and grow.
