Mental health symptoms and or difficulty managing your life can arise due to stressful situations, life transitions, issues related to grief and loss, addiction, and or past/present trauma. These life stressors, issues, or transitions can feel overwhelming and can significantly impact your mental health and functioning. I can assist you in your mental health journey and together we can figure out the best solutions and support you need to feel better and live a more productive, fulfilling life.
In 1993 I graduated from Lesley University in Cambridge, Ma with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology; and have been licenced as a mental health counselor (LMHC) since 1996, and a licensed as an alcohol and drug counselor (LADC I) since 2004. I have over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, including working with adults on an inpatient and outpatient basis, in community mental health clinics, hospital psychiatric units, and correctional facilities. I utilize a person-centered trauma-informed approach, incorporating cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based strategies and therapies, to empower you to be better equipped to manage symptoms and to be able to make healthy, positive, sustainable changes in your life.
