For over thirteen years, I've dedicated my career to helping people heal, grow ad step into their fullest potential. My journey began in 2012 as a Child Protection Specialist with Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services. Where my passion for mental health and wellness truly came alive. Since then, I've earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University and became licensed by the State of Ohio, in 2016. I became Independently licensed as a LPCC Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in July of 2021.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in a variety of settings-School counseling, Outpatient therapy, Group addiction treatment, Adolescent PHP programs, with families experiencing homelessness, residential and in psychiatric hospitals. No matter the setting, my mission has remained the same: to empower and uplift the Black community and the families I serve.
As a trained trauma therapist, I take a person-centered and nonjudgmental approach, meeting each client exactly where they are. I draw from several evidence based modalities-including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)- while integrating solution focused techniques to help clients visualize and work towards the life they desire.
Whether I'm working with athletes striving for balance and mental resilience, couples seeking connection, or women rediscovering their purpose beyond life's pressures, my goal is to create a safe space for healing and growth. I understand how challenging it can be to reach out for help- but sometimes that is the first step toward becoming who you were meant to be.
