My passion is triggering that yearning to help others develop a mindset and lifestyle where they work towards being the best version of themselves. Get to know Me:
Hello, ally! My name is Darnel Andera James (pronouns she/her). I was born on the beautiful Island of Trinidad and Tobago and was raised in NYC. I currently reside right outside of Richmond VA where I have worked in the mental health field for over 16 years. I moved to Virginia to pursue a degree in psychology from Virginia State University. Immediately after graduating, I entered into the human services field by working at a diagnostic residential program for children. I discovered a passion for working with people who were often misunderstood. After a few years of community work of Intensive In home and Mental health skills Building I moved on to further my education. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I pursued a masters in social work. After receiving my Masters, I went on to obtain my license in Social Work while also working on my certification for trauma, becoming a Certified Trauma Specialist. While going through supervision I gained experience in crisis stabilization and outpatient therapy. Since being licensed, I have focused on providing outpatient therapy. I find joy and value in being an ally and motivational voice to others.

If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
