Hello and welcome! My name is Dana Teeter, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Indiana. I take a holistic approach to health and wellness, incorporating a variety of mind management techniques, as well as talk therapy, CBT, mindfulness, mindful movement, breath work, and other mind-body exercises. My goal is to help you address mindset, negative thinking, intrusive thoughts, and coping with negative emotions in a supportive and healing environment.
I have over 10 years of experience working with children and teens in the school environment as a counselor and social worker. During this time, I have provided services for students struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and childhood trauma, as well as those dealing with issues related to identity, self-esteem, interpersonal skills, and emotional regulation. Additionally, I have spent the last 8 years working at home with my two sons, both diagnosed with ADHD. This dual perspective—as both a professional and a parent—has given me unique insights into managing ADHD and supporting children and families through it.
While much of my clinical experience has been with children and adolescents, I also work with families and adults. I am passionate about mental health and wellness and enjoy helping clients from diverse backgrounds address what is weighing them down. Together, we can assess your mental health and overall wellness needs and develop a plan to improve your ability to self-regulate emotions and manage your mental health more effectively.
My therapeutic approach includes using CBT, mindfulness, yoga, progressive muscle relaxation, and breathing techniques. I am Yogafit certified and hold a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo, practices that have been crucial in managing my own mental health and wellness. As a certified Revelation Wellness® instructor, I emphasize the importance of caring for the mind, body, and spirit. I believe in the neuroplasticity of our brains and our bodies' ability to heal when provided with a supportive environment.
I love meeting new people and learning from their stories. I believe we all have a story to share, and I have found my own healing through sharing my story with others. My aim is to create a safe space for you to share your story, understand your mental health, and set goals for future growth. I look forward to collaborating with you to help you find the freedom to live your best life.
