My passion for mental health is being able to help someone break generational trauma and help break the stigmatization of seeking help. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2002, and I have experience supporting children, adolescents/young adults, and adults with concerns such as bipolar disorder, personality disorder, and depression and anxiety disorder. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy personal devotion, praying, and meditation. I enjoy traveling to the beach and traveling outside the country to a tropical country. The types of therapy I offer include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Culturally Sensitive, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused Therapy. Communities I have experience working with: Cancer, Religious, Single Mothers, and Veterans. I was born in Tema Ghana in West Africa. I moved to the United States as a child and was raised in New York City. I graduated from George Mason University in Virginia with my BS degree and the University of Southern California with my Master's degree in Social Work. I have two boys ages 15 and 8 years old. I have worked with high school students for 6 years. I can speak 5 Ghanaian languages.
