Trauma work and women's empowerment are my passion. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I'm here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. I do hold to the thought that your life is an adventure and this is your therapy so the work must by done by you, but I am here to help guide you through the adventure. Other areas of passion for me are wellbeing, mindfulness, and self-care. Since each person is different I use many different modalities to help my clients through their goals. I like to spend time figuring out what skills would work best for you to give you the best outcome possible. I also encourage open communication with my clients. If something is not working I ask that you are honest and acknowledge it so we can figure out another method that could be more beneficial. I am trained in EMDR therapy and use this modality virtually with my clients. I also use other modalities, such as (but not limited to) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Attachment theories and Art Therapy. I like to start with small goals as to not set you up for failure or discourage you when goals are not being as met as quickly as you hope. Sometimes we may get through these goals quickly and sometimes it may take several months, or longer, to get through them.
