Catherine Howard
"Catherine Howard is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals in navigating anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, stress, self-esteem, career transitions, and women’s issues. She takes a holistic, person-centered approach, integrating insight with action to help clients create meaningful change in their lives. Catherine utilizes evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She believes therapy should be both supportive and engaging, fostering a safe space where clients feel empowered to explore challenges with honesty, self-compassion, and even humor. With a diverse background in social work, Catherine has experience in hospital settings, child protection services, foster care coordination, adoption services, and private practice. She is passionate about working with diverse communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, single mothers, and survivors of trauma and abuse. Outside of her practice, Catherine enjoys spending time with family, attending basketball games, walking her dog, and gathering with friends for “girl dinner.” She believes that self-forgiveness is one of the hardest yet most important steps in healing and is committed to guiding clients toward self-acceptance and lasting well-being."
