My name is Brittany Poole, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over 25 years of dedication and experience in behavioral health, counseling, and crisis response, across multiple systems in the community. My goal is to assist my clients in managing a variety of concerns, and transitions through the unexpected and powerful events we go through in life while providing a secure and safe environment which fosters stabilization and promotes growth and healing. My counseling style is individualized, motivating, warm and interactive using evidenced based practices that are client-centered, strength-based approaches tailored to the unique needs of each client. I’m dedicated to treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
I have experience working with all age groups: children, youth, adults, and elderly. I service individuals, couples and/or families who are struggling with some of the most complex issues and mental health diagnosis, which include but not limited to; unforeseen life transitions and adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety spectrum disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD/ADD, PTSD and other trauma related concerns, pre/post-partum, parenting, familial issues, infidelity, conduct disorders/re-entry, substance abuse/addiction/relapse prevention, grief and loss, and performance mental health. I utilize evidence-based approaches and treatment modalities that have been scientifically tested and proven to be effective, such as but not limited to; rational-emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy skills (DBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), family-focused therapy (FFT), psychodynamic therapy, and various multisystemic based treatment modalities. I believe change happens when people are given the support and guidance needed to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy, healthy, and productive lives. I provide a therapeutic approach full of hope, support and encouragement that engages clients in the treatment process. I’m committed to doing whatever it takes to help individuals and/or families overcome barriers so they can ultimately reach and achieve their treatment goals and their best outcomes possible.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support and empower you through it and look forward to working with you!
