Arkaya Williams-Abbott (Kady) MA, LPC-S is a highly skilled and dedicated licensed therapist and supervisor of those seeking licensure. Mrs. Williams-Abbott's specialty is working with adults in the areas of addictions, serious mental illness, PTSD, traumas (developmental and betrayal), couples, and domestic violence perpetrators. In her 30-year career, Mrs. Williams-Abbott utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Change Theory to assist individuals, meeting them where they are compassionately and skillfully towards healing, increased communication in relationships, and enhancing quality of life. In addition to her private practice, Mrs. Williams-Abbott works with organizations, systems flow and effective organizational change. Her counseling approach is client centered and she is knowledgeable and has worked within difficult systems such as criminal justice and mental health. Mrs. Williams-Abbott is highly collaborative and believes working in conjunction with others, especially the client, is the best way to advocate for and meet the needs of her clients. She is heavily involved in service work in her community, is married and has three kids. She is known for her clinical contributions to the counseling and addiction professions and will obtain her Doctorate degree in 2024.
