Hello, I'm so glad you have made the first big step in reaching out for help and support. It takes tremendous courage to do so.

I'm Angelina Thurston, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Colorado. I received my Master's Degree in Psychology from Seattle University, and I have over 20 years of experience working in a variety of mental health settings. These include inpatient psychiatry, outpatient counseling, residential treatment for children, community case management, and community mental health services.

I especially enjoy working with adults to help them develop and utilize effective, clinically proven strategies and skills to manage and thrive in their lives. My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, life transitions, stress management, and conflict resolution. I take a client-centered, trauma-informed clinical approach, meeting clients where they are and assisting them in getting to where they want to be in their lives. This includes creating custom-tailored treatment plans that incorporate clients' personal goals for treatment.

In my practice, I utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches. I believe in the power of these methods to bring about meaningful change and support emotional wellness.

If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
