Hello! I am Angie, a clinical social worker from Southeast Ohio with 15+ years of professional work experience. I have worked in mental health since 2004. In 2009, I was able to transition my work to a large healthcare facility that served the veteran population in a direct care setting. During my eight years at that facility, I was able to work in a variety of different settings which included Suicide Prevention, inpatient psychiatric care, and a community based mental health clinic. Five years ago I started working with adolescents in the local school system. Adding that age group to the mix definitely brought more satisfaction with the work I do. Providing counseling through this platform has been a welcomed change for me as a therapist as it has allowed more flexibility to balance work and life. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, parenting issues, motivation, self esteem/self-image, thought disorders, mood disorders, and depression. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I also have experience in helping children, ages 5-18, who struggle with depression, stress and anxiety, boundary issues, motivation, self esteem and confidence, and family dynamics. My counseling style is pretty laid back and client directed. I have been described as relatable, supportive, compassionate, and funny. I believe you have control of your story and your strengths will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. What is the relationship between Psych Hub and these providers?

We only list providers where we have a contractual relationship with a network, group, or practice that a provider is a part of, or where we have a direct contractual relationship with the provider. That contract governs the terms of participation on the Psych Hub site, and in some cases, as mentioned below, the provider’s, group’s, or network’s use of Psych Hub's educational content. There is no other affiliation between Psych Hub and the providers listed on our site.

Do participating providers pay us?

To make our site free for consumers, Psych Hub receives fees from provider groups, networks, or individual providers to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. Some also purchase Psych Hub's educational content for practitioner training and client support. These fees enable us to operate our service, including screening and updating information on each provider.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
