"Angel Anderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a Substance Use Disorders Degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She specializes in a wide range of issues including addiction, anger management, anxiety, dual diagnosis, and trauma, with particular expertise in working with first responders, veterans, and those involved in open or non-monogamous relationships. Angel began her career in addiction counseling at a Medication Assisted Treatment facility, where she focused on opioid addiction using CBT, DBT, and REBT, always emphasizing a person-centered approach. She is allied with diverse communities, including LGBTQ+, immigrants, women, and survivors of trauma. Angel believes that everyone can benefit from having someone to talk to, and that growth begins with feeling safe and heard, enabling individuals to step out of their comfort zone and make intentional changes. Her professional background includes working in private practice, school counseling, and non-profit partnerships focusing on domestic violence, sexual assault victims, and military personnel. She has also worked with Wisconsin counties providing family psychoeducation and skills development, and has been involved with the 988 crisis line and holistic wellness retreats. In her free time, Angel enjoys weightlifting, journaling, listening to music, and exploring holistic modalities such as breathwork, yoga, and cold therapy."
