I believe that human beings have a level of resilience that is truly amazing. At times, individuals may need some assistance with realizing this and being able to tap into their own strength. I am passionate about therapy because it allows a person to be in a safe space to develop insights and experience healing. The therapeutic process is one that should be open, trusting, and enlightening. My goal is to work side by side with clients to help them tap into their inner strength, in order to enhance their overall well-being. I use a holistic approach to therapy, taking into consideration a person’s mind, body, and spirit.
I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2011. While working on my undergraduate studies, I also minored in Spanish. I have always been passionate about learning languages, but I fell in love with learning Spanish while on a volunteer trip in Peru. In 2016, I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, Denver. Now as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I have been working in the field for over nine years. I have experience working with severe and persistent mental illness, addiction, and with individuals experiencing homelessness.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help adults navigate intense emotions and difficult life transitions. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, or trauma. However, I enjoy helping people with a variety of different concerns including low self-esteem, stress management, relationship issues, ADHD, grief, anger management, and rigid personality traits. I work to empower individuals, helping them to tap into their inner wisdom so that they may be able to find peace and live a fulfilling life.
If you feel that we might be a good fit, I would love to work with you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery.
