I have experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and self esteem. There are two main perspectives I use to guide my practice: “The journey is the destination” If we focus solely on where we are going, we can miss all the amazing experiences along the way. It is in these little moments that make life magical. We tend to overthink, over-plan, and over-worry. Let me help you quiet the noise and embrace gratitude for each step of the path leading to your goal. By spending time each day appreciating where we have been and what we have been through it will remind us to enjoy the journey, not just anticipate the final objective. “Never tell me the odds” In life we are frequently told what the odds of our success will be. This is told to us by others who do not know the strength of our resiliency, our determination, and our will to overcome adversity. You are the only one who knows the power you hold within. You are the only one who knows how far you can go. You are the one who will achieve the dreams you seek. During our sessions I will be using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). The CBT will explore the thoughts behind the behaviors while SFBT will allow us to collaboratively set a plan in motion to allow you to achieve your goals. At the start of each session we will set an intention: to listen or to plan. Together we will work through past experiences, set future goals, and celebrate every step of the way.
