Hi, my name is Kunbi Akins. I am an experienced psychiatric and mental health provider serving Virginia and DC. I graduated with my master’s degree from George Washington University. I have strong expertise in conducting a thorough assessment, diagnosis and drawing treatment plans for my clients. I also provide medication management services, I educate my clients and prescribe medications that best address their mental health needs and lifestyles. I do this in conjunction with psychotherapy services

I serve school age kids starting from age 6, adolescents and adults with ADHD, Depression, Bipolar disorders, Anxiety disorders, PTSD, and other life's stress . Your psychiatric medications are chosen and managed carefully having safety, effectiveness and evidence-based practice in mind . As a practitioner, I have helped many individuals make sense of life.

lots of young people and adults suffer from ADHD, and this has affected their daily function and productivity. My clients have many options of stimulants and non stimulants ADHD medications they can choose from and these medications have proven effective for many of them.

I also prescibe medications and offer psychotherapy to address conditions like Generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorders and different types of phobias

Depression hurts, and many people do not know that depression can be accompanied by unusual symptoms like anxiety, irritability, insomnia, appetite change and chronic or somatic pain. Choosing the right medication for your depression is very important and can not be overemphasized
