Hello, I'm Aaron. Simply acknowledging that you may need assistance in your journey can be a very difficult step. We often carry the weight of our past, face unexpected struggles, or feel stuck, knowing that something needs to change. Whatever your reasons may be, you are here, searching for an answer or a solution, and that's a significant first step.
I initially began working within the LGBTQIA+ community in the 90s, focusing on advocacy and community building. This experience ignited my passion for helping others, leading me to return to school for a degree in clinical social work. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with a variety of populations, including children in foster care, adults in the prison system, and individuals in transitional living. Currently, I work with individuals to address trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression across all age groups, specifically focusing on those 18 years and older.
My approach to therapy is what would be considered multimodal. While I integrate a mindfulness-based approach in the majority of the work I do, I strive to meet each client where they are and walk with them as they discover their personal strengths and successes. This means tailoring my methods to fit your unique needs and circumstances, ensuring that our work together is both effective and meaningful.
Working with me, you can expect a supportive and non-judgmental environment where your experiences and feelings are validated. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and am committed to creating a space where you feel safe to explore and heal. Whether you're dealing with gender identity issues, multicultural and diversity concerns, or the impacts of trauma and stress, I'm here to help you navigate these challenges.
Thank you for considering me as a partner in your journey towards healing and growth. If you're ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out and see how we can work together to achieve your goals.
