Nicole Pacheco Tchalim, MD
Nicole Pacheco Tchalim is a reproductive psychiatrist at Columbia Psychiatry, where she also serves as the Women's and Reproductive Mental Health (WARM) Fellowship Program Director. Dr. Tchalim has a strong background in medication management and psychodynamic therapy. She specializes in providing comprehensive and compassionate care for women and birthing individuals across their lifespans, addressing their mental health challenges and needs related to reproductive and gender-linked transitions. In addition to her clinical and educational roles at Columbia, she is also a psychiatric consultant for Project TEACH New York, a free state funded service that offers guidance and support for New York State medical prescribers who treat maternal mental health difficulties. Through this service, Dr. Tchalim supports individuals with perinatal and postpartum depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric conditions to achieve optimal mental health outcomes during and after pregnancy. Dr. Tchalim’s mission is to improve the mental health and well-being of women, birthing individuals, and their families through evidence-based and collaborative initiatives that reduce stigma and barriers to accessing quality mental health care.
