Social Media Ethics in Mental Health Care

About the Course

In this course, you'll learn about the concerns associated with social media in mental health -- and how to work within your legal and ethical boundaries to create a social media presence that is worthwhile.

Relevant ethical standards of various mental health professional associations are discussed, alongside discussion of specific risks associated with social media. Specific example posts are used to illustrate those risks. The course concludes with discussion of policy options for those wishing to actively address social media issues in their practice.
