Hello! My name is Dr. Jennifer L. Ortega. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) and Doctor of Professional Counseling (DPC). I have 20 years of experience working in the field of counseling and feel extremely grateful to be part of such a rewarding profession which allows me to work with a variety of amazing individuals. My approach to therapy is collaborative, integrative and rooted in Positive Psychology. This means that you and I will work together to create a treatment plan that is right for you. It also means that when it comes to therapeutic approaches, one size does not fit all; therefore, a combination of treatment modalities will be integrated to ensure specialized care. In terms of Positive Psychology, we will identify and explore your strengths to help you meet your therapeutic goals. You can expect to leave our sessions with a little more insight and awareness as to who you are as a person and that it is possible to make those little necessary changes to live a healthier, happier, and peaceful life.

How do we select providers listed on PsychHub.com?

The care options presented consist of treatment providers that we have assessed to be quality providers across a range of services for mental health, substance use, relationships, and other well-being needs. We aim to include only high quality providers and multiple viable options for those seeking care.

Do participating providers pay us?

To make our site free for consumers, providers on Psych Hub pay fees to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. Some also purchase Psych Hub’s educational content for practitioner training and client support. These fees enable us to operate our service, including screening and updating information on each provider.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don’t, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What is the relationship between Psych Hub and these providers?

The providers listed on our site are all independent entities from Psych Hub. We have a contractual relationship with each provider that governs the terms of their participation on the site, and in some cases, as mentioned above, their use of Psych Hub’s educational content. There is no other affiliation between Psych Hub and the providers listed on our site.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
