David Grant
I graduated from Washington University, earning a Master of Science in Social Work with an emphasis in Social Entrepreneurship. I am a retired, decorated Air Force combat veteran. As a serviceman, I worked as an Integrated Avionics Systems Specialist, Equal Opportunity Specialist, Resilience Training Instructor, and a Certified Department of Defense Sexual Assault Advocate. I have dedicated my life to serving people. After service, I gained experience by serving as a subject matter expert for an Army Command's Suicide Prevention Program. In this capacity, I monitored and evaluated the effectiveness of several wellness training programs, including the Substance Abuse Program, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Program, Smoking Cessation Program, and Resiliency Program. As a therapist, I've helped people by: -Helping with self-sufficiency and maximizing independence. -Aiding in developing skills that will increase core competencies: optimism, mental agility, self-regulation, self-awareness, self-efficacy, and connection. -Providing person-centered services to help achieve expressed goals. -Identifying and analyzing diverse issues that impact one ability to function optimally; help implement solutions to resolve problems. -Providing direct psychosocial counseling to diverse populations with various substance abuse disorders and diagnosed mental illnesses. -Collaborating to establish short-term and long-term treatment goals and interventions to aid overall success. I'm affectionately known as Coach Grant. I love running and coaching, and character development through sports. I'm passionate about helping people be their best selves through resilience, performance improvement, and mindset development.
