Rose Quinn
All people with all abilities are welcome to get help and support from me. I understand the stress of having a complicated life. Whether you are young, a young adult, older, retired, a student, working, or parenting, you have a complicated life. Do you feel overwhelmed, stressed out, have trouble getting enough sleep, and have difficulties with relationships? We are all very complex beings and oftentimes don't understand ourselves. By examining your life and what it means to be human, you can learn to change your thoughts, reconstruct your life, and give it meaning. I can help you have more compassion for yourself and teach you practical and useful coping skills. This will result in decreasing distress, anxiety, depression, anger, and loneliness while increasing the ability to focus, relax, manage time, communicate, and enjoy life. I use numerous therapeutic modalities, each best suited to you. These include person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy along with humor, relaxation techniques, communication skills, grounding techniques, and others. Additionally, I continually research the best methods and current information. I partner with you to design therapy for your unique needs. I graduated with my: - Ph.D. in Education and Human Resources, Colorado State University, May 2008 - Master’s in Counseling and Counselor Education, Colorado State University, April 2002 - M.Ed. in Education and Human Resources Studies, Colorado State University, August 1998 - B.A. in Biology, Metropolitan State College of Denver, August 1994 I am a lifelong student. My first years as a therapist were working with at-risk youth and their families. Eventually, I worked for 10 years in a hospital seeing patients and families during crises in the Emergency Department as well as on the hospital floors. For two years, I worked in corrections including both jail and prison. Currently, my clients include adolescents, young adults, older adults, and some couples. I appreciate, respect, and work with all cultures, religions, and all persons, including those that identify as LGBTQIA, highly sensitive persons, adopted persons, and persons on the spectrum. I have experience with medical, adult, childhood, and adolescent issues, including depression, anxiety, sleep problems, stress, and trauma. Therapy involves taking a risk to face our fears, striving to change, and beginning to feel hopeful. Therapy has a beginning, a middle, and an end. First, ask yourself, who am I? Then ask, who do I want to be? What is in the way of becoming that person? Ask yourself, what am I willing to do to change? Therapy takes perseverance and support. I am here to help you transform your life. https://www.sondermind.com/providers/73zww24n/rose-quinn
