Richard Swaine
I have been working with both adolescents and adults for more than a decade and still love my job. Being a licensed therapist is actually my third career choice that followed careers in Oceanography and Motorsports. Although the first two careers were exciting, having the opportunity to help people heal makes this career the most rewarding. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida (1985), a Master of Marine Science from University of South Florida (1996) and Master of Arts in Counseling from Liberty University (2007). I began my counseling career in private practice and transitioned to several Director positions at a local hospital and residential programs. Despite managing others, I still had the opportunity to work with patients on a weekly basis using TF-CBT, REBT and DBT. Now my desire is to return to 100% counseling and I'm excited about apply experience using Telehealth. I’ve been married for over two decades and am the proud father of two adult children. I enjoy doing a variety of activities with my wife as well as woodworking , hunting and fishing .
