Peter Bordelon
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Rochester. A few years later, he completed a Master of Social Work at Syracuse University. He worked as a Clinical Social Worker for several years with youth in various community, school and hospital settings before returning to school to completed a Masters in Nursing (University of Maryland) and a post master's certificate in psychiatry and mental health (University of Virginia). He is board certified as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has been working in community mental health since 2010. His professional interests include co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders, impact of trauma on mental health, and supporting individuals with chronic mental illness. He continues to study integrative modalities that positively impact mental health. When not at work, he is often hiking, biking, traveling or finding other ways to enjoy family, the sun and the outdoors.
