Hi, My Name is Paula, and I am a Trauma Informed Therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, families and young adults impacted by adverse traumatic experiences and major life events. My approach is holistic, and I assist families and major stakeholders in gaining a better understanding of the benefit of therapy to garner their support and increase successful treatment outcomes. In 2009, I graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, with a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and I provide Clinical Supervision and mentorship to individuals seeking Virginia licensure. I started my journey working with Veteran impacted by traumatic events from combat, sexual trauma, and those transitioning from the military. I also worked at a private practice providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Neurofeedback. My goal is to provide you with a therapeutic space that’s safe and promotes self-discovery, self-acceptance, and resiliency. My approach is eclectic drawing from numerous evidence based traditional therapies (CBT, ACT, CPT, etc.,) and some of the newer and less known cutting edges approaches (IFS, SE, RTM, etc.,).
