Paula Kirtley, LCSW, certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. I am currently accepting clients for individual and/or couples therapy. I've worked with Veterans and their family members for the past 15 years. I have day, evening, and weekend availability. I am dedicated to helping you reach your goals and utilize an integrative/collaborative approach. I choose compassionate-based approaches --to include loving kindness practices --when working with trauma survivors. I'm currently working on certification in EMDR and Grief and Bereavement and Internal Family Systems. My hobbies include crocheting and practicing tai chi and my favorite authors/savants include: Dr. Gabor Mate, Michael Singer, Jack Kornfield, Belleruth Naparstek, Carolyn Myss, Nancy Hopps, David Kessler and Dr. Irwin Yalom. Excellent books to read include "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert M. Pirsig and Kitchen Wisdom and/or My Grandfather's Blessing by Dr. Rachel Remen.
